# Adding your accountant to your shop with their email

> In Settings, Users and roles, type your accountant's email and press "Add my accountant". They see the books, entries and reports, with no new password.

If your accountant already uses Dashing for other shops, your shop appears in their list as soon as you add their email.

## Steps

1. Open "Settings", then "Users & roles".
2. At the bottom find "Have an accountant who uses Dashing with other shops?".
3. Type their email in "Accountant's email".
4. Press "Add my accountant".
5. Wait for "is now your shop's accountant." Ask them to refresh their list of shops.

## If it doesn't work

- "No account has this email.": they have no Dashing account. Add them as a staff member.
- "This account is already a member of your shop.": they are already in; check the users list.
- "The invite did not go through. Try again.": check the internet and press the button again.

## What the system does not do

It does not create a password for them, and they cannot sell or change products.

**What does the accountant see?**

The books, the entries and the reports only. They do not sell or change products.

**My accountant has no account yet.**

You will see "No account has this email." Add them as a new staff member from the users list instead.
