The best offline POS
"Works offline" hides large differences: do refunds work, can you add a customer, can a sale be lost or doubled? We state those criteria, then rank. A warning: Dashing is first here and we make it, so read the criteria and the sources yourself.

The ranking
Dashing is ranked 1 of 6.
- 1. Dashing: The best documented: the cashier, invoices, purchase orders, receipt printing and stock deduction work offline on every plan including free, with no time limit, and sales upload exactly once. It warns at 80% storage and stops new sales at 95%. Reports and sign-in need a connection.
- 2. Zoho POS: Offline billing that syncs later, a free plan and Arabic. It loses because we found no detailed account of what does not work offline, no Kurdish, and Iraq is not on its launch list.
- 3. Odoo: A web till that works offline, with full Arabic. It loses because setup and upkeep need a partner and the price is per user.
- 4. RA8M: Offline sync, Arabic and English, and prices in dinar (from 7,500 a month). It loses because it has no free plan and is restaurant-first.
- 5. Loyverse: It sells offline, with documented limits: no refunds, no new customers, no stock levels and no card terminals. It ranks low for this criterion only; it is excellent elsewhere.
- 6. Daftra: Offline POS terminals are on the top plan only (600 USD a year). It ranks last because offline costs the most expensive plan.

Zoho POS and Odoo are also strong offline, and Odoo is deeper on inventory. Loyverse wins on native apps despite its offline limits. We checked rivals from public pages only and did not test them, so they may have abilities that are not documented.

Common questions
What happens to sales made before the internet returns?
They are kept on the device and uploaded once when the connection returns, so none is doubled or lost. If storage fills, Dashing warns at 80% and stops new sales at 95%.
How long can I stay offline?
There is no time limit; the limit is the storage on the device.
Can I sign in offline?
No. Sign-in needs a connection, so sign in before the connection drops and keep working.
