Your hall, offices or rented flats: the booking, the contract, the monthly bill and who has not paid, in one program.
Is it for a place like mine? Yes, if it is a hall you rent by the hour or the day, or offices or flats you rent on a monthly contract, at one address. Is it free, and what is the catch? Bookings and contracts run on the free plan with no subscription, and the catch is written at the bottom of this page. Will I manage without an accountant? Yes: each booking, contract, bill and payment reaches the books on its own. Does it work here? The screens are Arabic, right to left, and rent goes in dinar or dollar.
A hall you rent by the hour or the day
You set the hall's opening and closing hours and the booking step, a gap after each event for cleaning and setting up, and the shortest notice between booking and event. A hold keeps the slot for a number of hours you set and ends by itself. You decide whether the program confirms every booking on its own or leaves it waiting for your approval.
- A deposit as a share that you set, and the balance a number of days before the event that you set
- A damage deposit recorded with the booking
- One price for the public and one for members
- A cancellation policy in steps, by the time left before the event
An office or flat on a monthly contract
You open the contract with the tenant's name, the start date and the monthly rent, and the bill issues each month on schedule without you writing it. With the contract you set the deposit in months, the grace days, the shortest term and the notice period, and whether the contract renews by itself or offers you the renewal. You change the rent or end the contract from the contract screen, and no bills issue after the end.
- A notice to leave works out the contract's end date from the notice period
- The deposit you receive is recorded on the contract
- Who has not paid: an overdue invoice shows with a flag, and the receivables aging sorts them by how late they are
The money and the books
Bookings and contracts produce invoices, and the deposit, damage deposit or rent a tenant pays is recorded against them. All of it reaches the ledger on its own, under the same rules as the rest of Dashing, so you re-enter nothing and write no journal entries. Revenue shows split by the kind of service, you open the book reports whenever you like, and your accountant, if you have one, reads the same books. The hall and the rent are priced in dinar or dollar.
Free or yearly
Bookings, contracts, bills and books are on the free plan. The yearly plan adds what is not about the booking itself: hiding the Dashing name on the receipts and statements you send, priority support, and more questions a day for Dash. The first fourteen days after sign-up are on the yearly plan.
What it does not do
One property per account for now. No automatic late fees: the feature is switched off for now, and an overdue invoice stays visible for you to chase. No tenant portal, no public page to book the hall from, and no online card payments. WhatsApp is a link that opens so you can send from it yourself, not automatic sending. Bookings need an internet connection.
Common questions
Do contracts renew by themselves?
You choose per contract: it renews by itself, or it offers you the renewal and you decide.
How do I record a tenant's deposit?
You record receiving it on the contract, and it shows with the contract's account.
Does it charge a late fee?
No, not for now. An overdue invoice shows with a flag and you chase it.
Can a tenant see their invoice themselves?
No. There is no tenant portal; the invoice is with you.
Does it work without internet?
No. Bookings and contracts need an internet connection. What works without it is the shop cashier.
I have two buildings at two sites; does one account do?
Not yet. Bookings and contracts are for one property per account for now.
