Cashier app for Android: install Dashing from Chrome, no store needed.
Dashing is an installable web app and is not in an app store yet. Open dashingerp.com in Chrome on your phone, then install it so it sits on your home screen and opens as its own app. No app store needed: Dashing installs from the browser, and there is no file to download.
Install steps on Android
- 1. Open the site in Chrome and sign in or create your shop
- 2. Tap the Chrome menu (the three dots)
- 3. Choose "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"
- 4. Confirm, then open Dashing from its icon on the home screen
What works without internet
- Selling, scanning, discounts, holding a sale and printing the receipt all work; sales are saved on the device
- When the connection returns the sales upload in order by themselves, and nothing is recorded twice
- Reports, Dash and WhatsApp links need a connection
What it does not do
There is no Google Play app and no APK file. Installing happens from the browser only, and needs one visit to the site online.
Common questions
Is Dashing on Google Play?
No. You install it straight from Chrome and it gets an icon on the home screen like any app.
I do not see Install in Chrome. What do I do?
Update Chrome and open the site directly, not inside another app such as WhatsApp, and let the page finish loading. If it is still missing, choose "Add to Home screen".
Does the cashier work offline once installed?
Yes. Selling works without it and the sales upload when the connection returns. Reports and Dash need a connection.
