Dashing needs no installer on the PC. Open dashingerp.com in Chrome or Edge and install it, and it opens in its own window without an address bar, with a desktop shortcut. No app store needed: Dashing installs from the browser, and there is no file to download.
Install steps on Windows
- 1. Open the site in Chrome or Edge and sign in
- 2. Click the install icon at the end of the address bar (a small screen with an arrow), or choose "Install Dashing" from the browser menu
- 3. Confirm, and Dashing opens in its own window
- 4. For a desktop or taskbar shortcut, use the window menu to create a shortcut or pin it to the taskbar
What works without internet
- Selling, scanning, discounts, holding a sale and printing the receipt all work; sales are saved on the device
- When the connection returns the sales upload in order by themselves, and nothing is recorded twice
- Reports, Dash and WhatsApp links need a connection
What it does not do
There is no exe file and no separate desktop edition. It is the same site in its own window, opened once online before it can be used offline.

Do I need to download a file to the PC?
No. Installing is one click from the browser; there is no file to download.
Does it work on Mac and Linux?
Yes, the same steps in Chrome or Edge. Dashing runs in the browser on any device anyway.
Does the cashier work offline on the PC?
Yes. Selling, scanning and printing the receipt work, and sales upload when the connection returns. Reports and Dash need a connection.
