A building materials price list: each price with its unit and validity date.

Building material prices move fast and come in different units: steel by the ton, cement by the bag, sand by the cubic metre. Quoting an old price to a contractor can cost you. So this template adds the price unit and the date it is valid until on each item, so a bag price is never read as a ton price and the contractor knows the price ends. It has sample rows for common materials with no brands, and the prices are blank.

Common questions

Why a validity date?

Because steel and cement follow the market, and a quote with no date binds you to an old price. With a clear date the contractor knows how long the offer stands and when to ask for a new one.

Does the price include delivery?

The template does not say. Write in a note under the list whether prices are ex-yard or delivered, and add transport by hand if it is separate.

Can one item have more than one unit?

Yes, but on two lines: cement per bag and per ton, each line with its unit and price. Do not put two units in one cell or it is unclear which belongs to which price.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
