A clothing purchase order: each piece by size and colour.

One shirt is ordered in two sizes and three colours, and the supplier prepares each combination separately. If size and colour are not on the line, you may receive what is hard to sell, like one size in large quantities. So this template adds two columns, size and colour, and each combination goes on its own line with its quantity. It has sample rows for common pieces with no brands, and the costs are blank.

Common questions

Should each size go on its own line?

Yes, each size and colour on a line with its quantity. The supplier then sees exactly what to prepare, and at receipt you compare each line with what came in that size.

How do I spread quantities across sizes?

Start from what you sold before, not from equal sizes: the middle sizes usually sell more than the ends. Order less of the extreme sizes and review after the first season.

Does the template handle different size systems?

Size is a text column, so write what your supplier understands: S, M, L, or numbers for trousers, or a child's age. Do not mix two systems on neighbouring lines or the numbers get confused.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
