A pharmacy purchase order: every item by generic name and pack size.

A supplier knows one medicine under trade names that differ from company to company, but understands the generic name and strength without doubt. And a box of twenty is not a box of thirty. So this template adds the generic name with its strength and the pack size, so what arrives is what you ordered. It has sample rows for common items, and the unit costs are blank for you to fill with what you agreed with the supplier.

Common questions

Why order by generic name instead of trade name?

Because trade names differ between makers and get confused, while the generic name with strength pins down the active ingredient exactly. Add your preferred maker in a note if you want one in particular.

Does the template include batch or expiry?

No: those are known on receipt, not when ordering. Record them when the goods arrive, and check the expiry against what your shop accepts before you sign for the delivery.

Is this an official order for controlled medicines?

No. It is an ordinary purchase order. Controlled medicines have forms and requirements set by the health ministry in your country, so use those.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
