For sweets and nuts: sold by weight or by the box, and busiest on the holidays.
Dashing is for a sweets and nuts shop that sells the same item by weight and in ready boxes, and serves many times its usual customers on the holidays: fractional quantities and boxes with a factor are accepted, expiry is tracked with batches, and offers start and end on their own.
The kilo, the gram and the box
You define the gram or the kilo as the base unit and the box with its factor and barcode, so a 500 g box or 350 g loose sell from the same item with one stock. The weight is typed because no scale is connected.
An expiry date for each delivery
Batches are switched on for packed sweets and nuts, so each delivery is a batch with its date, the till suggests the nearest expiry first, and a home-screen card lists what expires soon.

Start freeHoliday offers and gift cards
An offer as a percentage or an amount between two dates applies on its own at the till, a gift card with a balance is sold and redeemed in the cart, and loyalty points are earned and redeemed.
Stocking up for the season
A minimum per item warns you before it runs out, and the reorder suggestions turn into one purchase order per supplier, which can be received in parts.
What it does not do
No scale is connected and a barcode that carries a weight is not read. There is no gift-box builder: a mixed box is an item with a fixed price and does not deduct its parts automatically.
Common questions
How do I sell a box and sell by weight from one item?
Make the gram the base unit and define the box with its factor, and stock is deducted in grams either way.
Do I set an expiry date on every item?
No. Batches are a choice per item: switch them on for what has a date and leave the rest.
Can I set the holiday offers in advance?
Yes. Set the start and end dates and the offer begins and stops on its own at the till.
