Buy one get one
Buy one get one is an offer where the customer takes two pieces and pays for one, though the second may be at half price.
What it means for a shop owner
It is really a 50 percent discount, so make sure your margin can take it. It suits slow or near-expiry items, not low-margin ones. Put a limit per customer.
A worked example
A pack priced at 10 costs 6. With a 1+1 offer the customer pays 10 for two packs, so you make 10 minus 12, which is a loss of 2 per pair.
