Debtor
A debtor is anyone who owes you money, such as a customer who bought on credit and has not yet paid.
What it means for a shop owner
What he owes you appears as receivables and is an asset you collect. Set a ceiling and a time limit for each debtor. What cannot be collected is written off as a bad debt.
A worked example
A customer buys for 700 and pays 200, so he is your debtor for 500.
