Creditor

A creditor is anyone you owe money to, such as a supplier who sold to you on credit or a bank that lent to you.

What it means for a shop owner

What you owe appears in your books as payables, and you must pay it on time. Paying creditors on time protects your reputation and your prices. Rank them by due date.

A worked example

You owe the grain supplier 2200, due in a week.
