Installment
An installment is one scheduled part of an item price that the customer pays over time until the full amount is settled.
What it means for a shop owner
Agree the number and dates in writing before handing over the goods. Record each payment when it arrives so the balance stays clear. Selling on installments leaves money with customers, so follow it as a debt.
A worked example
A fridge at 600 over 6 installments, 100 each. After the third one, 300 remains.
