Low-stock alert
A low-stock alert is a notice that appears when an item quantity falls to a limit you set, so you reorder before it runs out.
What it means for a shop owner
The alert limit is usually the reorder point. Set one per important item and not one for all, because selling speed differs. Ignoring the alert costs you lost sales.
A worked example
The alert limit for an item is 25 pieces. After the seventy-fifth sale the stock drops to 25 and the alert appears.
