Omnichannel
Omnichannel means linking the shop, the online store and other channels through one stock and one set of customer data.
What it means for a shop owner
The gain is that a customer can order by phone and collect in store, and you never sell the same item twice. The condition is that stock updates at once in every channel. Without that, mistakes grow.
