Wholesale price
The wholesale price is the lower price you charge for large quantities to a trader who resells, set below the retail price.
What it means for a shop owner
You set a minimum quantity, and anyone buying less pays the retail price. It must stay above cost by a margin that covers your running costs. Many shops keep a separate price list for this group.
A worked example
The retail price is 10 and the wholesale price is 8 from 50 pieces up. Someone buying 60 pays 480 instead of 600.
