Cashier commission: create a rule, set a sales target, see the team
Create a commission rule as a percent of revenue or of margin, per day, week or month, set a sales target, and see each cashier's commission this month.

Commission turns a cashier's sales into a figure that is calculated for you each month, so you do not count invoices by hand. The cashier sees only their own figure.
Steps
- Open "Commission" from the menu. As the owner you see "Commission rules" and "Team commission".
- Under "Commission rules" press "New rule".
- In "New commission rule" write the "Name" (for example Cashier commission), choose the "Formula": "% of revenue" or "% of margin", and the "Percent %".
- Choose the "Period": "Daily", "Weekly" or "Monthly". If several rules could apply, "Priority" decides: the lower number runs first.
- Keep "Active" on and press "Save". To change a rule later press "Edit"; to remove it press "Delete".
- To set a goal, use "Sales target": the "Target amount", and optionally the "Target invoice count".
- See the result in "Team commission" for "This month": each employee's "Sales" and "Commission", and the total. Each cashier opens "Commission" to see "Your commission this month" and progress toward the "Target".
If it doesn't work
- "No commission data yet.": no sale falls under a rule yet; check the rule is active and that sales were made by that cashier.
- "No active cashiers.": add the staff member first (staff and permissions).
What the system does not do
It calculates the commission but does not pay it. Pay it in your usual way and record it as an expense.
Common questions
- Percent of revenue or of margin: which one?
- Revenue pays on everything sold. Margin pays on the profit of each sale, so it does not reward selling below cost.
- A cashier sees "No commission rule applies to you yet".
- No active rule covers that cashier. Create a rule or turn the existing one on (a rule shows "Off" when it is inactive).
