A wholesale invoice: cartons, units in each, and the total in pieces.

A wholesaler sells by the carton and prices by the piece, and the buyer resells them singly. If the invoice says cartons alone, the buyer does not know how many pieces he has; if it says pieces alone, he finds it hard to check what he received. So this template adds the number of cartons and the units per carton, and the quantity column holds the total in pieces, with the unit price being the price of one piece. The counts in the examples are illustrations, and the prices are blank.

Common questions

How do I get the total quantity?

Multiply cartons by units per carton and enter the result as the quantity, for example 20 cartons of 24 bottles is 480. The template does not do this multiplication for you, so the sheet stays flexible when a carton is short.

What if a carton is short or has breakage?

Enter the actual quantity in pieces rather than full cartons, and add a note under the table. That way the buyer matches the invoice on receipt and there is no dispute over the difference.

Does it support tiered wholesale prices by quantity?

No, each line has one price that you enter. If you have price tiers, keep a separate price list and take this invoice's price from it.
