A sweets and nuts price list: the price per kilo and the pack weight.

These shops sell the same item loose by the kilo and in ready packs, and the customer needs the per-kilo price to compare. This template adds two columns: the price per kilo and the weight of the ready pack in grams. The sale price is the price of the pack itself, worked out from its weight. The per-kilo figures in the sample rows are illustrations only, and cost and sale price are blank.

Common questions

How do I price a ready pack?

Divide the pack weight in grams by 1000, multiply by the per-kilo price, and add the cost of the bag or box. Enter the result as the sale price; it is what the customer sees on the pack.

Can I sell by the half or quarter kilo?

Yes, the per-kilo price alone is enough and the cashier takes half or a quarter from it. The per-kilo price is the reference number the customer compares you against others by.

How do I handle swings in nut prices?

Review nut prices weekly because they follow the market, change the per-kilo price and then recalculate the ready packs. Reprint after each change and leave no tag with an old price.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
