A bakery receipt: what the customer bought and the day it was baked.

A bakery sells things that spoil fast, so customers ask: is this today's bread? This template adds a column for the pack and one for the baked-on date, so the customer knows what they hold and you can trace anything brought back. It has sample rows for common baked goods, and prices are blank.

Common questions

Why put the baked-on date on the receipt?

Because baked goods sell at a day or two old, and a customer bringing back a bag wants proof of when it was bought. The date makes it clear for both of you.

How do I write large orders for events?

Write each item on its own line with the full quantity, and use the pack column for the tray or box. For an advance order, send a quotation before the receipt.

Should I keep a copy of the receipt?

Yes. A copy for the bakery is enough to match sales with the till at the end of the day. Print two copies or keep a photo of it.
