A tyre and oil stock count: size or grade and the rack.

A tyre is known by its size and an oil by its viscosity grade, and mixing 205/55R16 with 205/60R16 sells a customer the wrong thing. This template gives you a spec column, which is the tyre size or the oil grade, and a rack column for the warehouse location. It has sample rows with no brands, and the quantities are illustrations only.

Common questions

How do I read a tyre size?

In 205/55R16 the first number is the width in mm, the second the sidewall height as a percentage of the width, and the last the rim diameter in inches. Copy the size exactly as printed on the sidewall, without shortening it.

How do I count open containers and drums?

Count sealed containers by the piece, and measure open ones in litres on a line of their own. Do not mix drum litres with 4-litre containers in one cell.

Does the count show tyre age?

No, this template does not record the manufacture date. If you want to follow it, add a column by hand and write the week-and-year code printed on the tyre.
