For spice and herbal shops

For spice shops: hundreds of items sold by the gram, packed goods with a date, and customers who come back every week.

Dashing is for a spice and herbal shop with hundreds of small items, most sold by the gram and some packed into barcoded bags, and customers known by name: fractional quantities are accepted, batches are switched on for packed goods, and importing from a file saves typing the list.

The gram, the kilo and the bag

You define the gram as the base unit and the bag and the kilo with their factors, so 35 g of cumin or a 250 g barcoded bag sell from one stock. No scale is connected, so the weight is typed.

Hundreds of items from one file

Items import from a CSV file with Arabic or English headers, so you start from your current Excel list without retyping it, then fix whatever needs fixing.

Batches with expiry and labels for packed goods

Batches are switched on for packed goods only, so each delivery is a batch with its date, and from Inventory you print a barcode label with the name and price for each bag.

An account for the regular customer

A customer has a credit limit, a due date and a receipt when they pay, and loyalty points are earned and redeemed. Their statement goes out as a link on WhatsApp.

What it does not do

No scale is connected and a barcode that carries a weight is not read: the weight is typed. There are no recipes for blends: a blend is an item whose quantity you enter yourself, and its parts are not deducted automatically. The software gives no medical advice.

Common questions

How do I sell 35 g of cumin?

Make the gram the item's base unit and type 35 at the till at the price per gram. Stock is deducted in grams.

Can I import my current list?

Yes, from a CSV file, or from Excel saved as CSV.

Does it work without the internet?

Selling at the till does, but reports and WhatsApp links need the internet.
