Cash sale

A cash sale is one where the customer pays the full price at the moment he takes the goods, so no debt is created.

What it means for a shop owner

The money reaches the drawer at once, which makes it the simplest and least risky kind of sale. "Cash" usually also covers paying by card or e-wallet, since the full amount is paid on the spot.

A worked example

A customer buys for 70 and hands over 100 in cash, so you give back 30 change. 70 goes to sales and the drawer rises by 70.
