Current assets
Current assets are what you own in cash, stock and money owed to you that will turn into cash within a year or less.
What it means for a shop owner
It is what you rely on to pay your near-term obligations. Compare it with current liabilities to see whether you can pay. Dead stock shows here but does not turn into cash easily.
A worked example
Cash is 2000, stock 6000 and customer debts 1500. Current assets are 9500.
