E-invoice
An e-invoice is an invoice issued, stored and sent in a structured digital form, and in some countries it is also sent to the tax authority.
What it means for a shop owner
Rules differ by country, so ask your tax office whether it is required where you are. Merely sending a photo or a PDF is not always enough. Keep an original copy for as long as the law asks.
A worked example
You issue 40 invoices a day. After a month you hold about 1,200 digital files you can search, instead of 1,200 sheets of paper.
