Invoice
An invoice is a document stating what you sold to a customer, its price and total, and asking for payment now or by a date.
What it means for a shop owner
It is your proof of the sale and the customer's proof of what he bought. Give it a running number, a date, the customer name and a due date if it is on credit. A clear invoice means fewer arguments and faster payment.
A worked example
You sell 4 pieces at 25 each: total = 4 × 25 = 100. The invoice shows 100 and a due date 14 days away.
