Overtime
Overtime is the hours an employee works beyond his usual working hours.
What it means for a shop owner
The law may require a higher rate for overtime hours, and this differs between countries, so know what applies to you. Approve it before the work happens. Record the hours when they are worked.
A worked example
He works 5 extra hours at 6 an hour, so he is due 30.
