Reorder quantity
Reorder quantity is the number you order of an item each time stock reaches the reorder point.
What it means for a shop owner
The reorder point says when to order and this quantity says how much. Make it cover a sensible selling period, and no lower than the minimum the supplier accepts. Small orders add shipping runs and big ones lock up cash.
A worked example
You sell 15 packs a week and want to cover 4 weeks, so the reorder quantity is 60 packs.
