Stock on hand
Stock on hand is the quantity of an item you physically own right now, whether or not it is reserved.
What it means for a shop owner
It comes from the count and from purchase and sale movements. It can differ from what is available to sell because some is reserved. Compare it with a physical count regularly to spot gaps.
A worked example
You have 50 boxes on the shelf and in the back, so stock on hand is 50 even if 8 are reserved.
