Stock transfer

A stock transfer moves a quantity of an item from one branch or store to another without a sale, lowering the first and raising the second.

What it means for a shop owner

It is neither a sale nor a purchase, so the company total stock value does not change. Record it on both sides, or one place shows a loss and the other a made-up gain. Check the count on arrival.

A worked example

You transfer 30 boxes from the main branch to the city branch. Main drops from 100 to 70 and the city branch rises from 10 to 40.
