Tax-inclusive price
A tax-inclusive price is the full price the customer pays, with the tax already inside it and not added on top.
What it means for a shop owner
Retail prefers it because the shelf price is what the customer pays. To find the hidden tax, divide the price by one plus the rate and subtract. Decide which way your shop works and do not mix the two.
A worked example
The price is 115 and the tax rate is 15 percent. The net is 115 ÷ 1.15 = 100, and the tax is 15.
