Every employee can record their own hours from the menu. No one else has to do it for them.
Steps
- Open "My hours" from the menu.
- The screen says "You're clocked out". Optionally type a note, for example opening prep.
- Press "Clock in". The screen says "You're clocked in" with the time since.
- When you finish, press "Clock out".
- Under "Sessions" each row shows the date, In, Out and Duration. Change "From" and "To" to look at another period.
- A manager also sees "Team hours" for all employees in the chosen range.
If it doesn't work
- "State changed — refreshed.": someone, or another device, already changed your state; check the screen and continue.
- "Could not complete the action.": check the internet and press again.
What the system does not do
Totals count closed sessions only, so an open session is not added until you clock out. It does not calculate wages.
Common questions
- I forgot to clock out.
- The session shows as "Open" with "now" in the Out column. Clock out when you remember; ask the owner if the time must be corrected.
- Is clocking in the same as opening the cash drawer?
- No. Hours are your working time. The drawer is opened and closed from a cash shift.
