Creating your shop's account in Dashing

Steps

1. Open the sign-up page from the start button on the site, or from the "Set up your account" link on the sign-in screen. On a computer the question comes first and the form after; on a phone the form comes first and the question after.
2. Answer "What kind of business do you run?": groceries, clothing, pharmacy, mobile… or "Other activity". Your kind of shop sets the defaults: the sell screen ("Fast" for groceries and phone shops, "Invoice" for clothing, electronics, jewellery and car parts; you can switch on the sell screen any time), batches and expiry dates for a pharmacy, for example, and dinars as the books' currency.
3. Phone and electronics shops, many of which price in dollars, are then asked "What currency does your business work in?": "Iraqi Dinar (IQD)" or "US Dollar (USD)".
4. "What did you use before Dashing?" is asked on the main screen after your first sale.
5. Fill in "Shop name", "Email", "Phone number" and "Password" (at least 8 characters), then press "Create my shop". Creating the account is your agreement to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, linked under the button.
6. The "Add your first products" page opens: type what you sell most (name, price, and how many you have now), load a ready list for your kind of shop, or import a file. More in add a product and import products from a CSV file.

What is created automatically

A main branch named after your shop, a full double-entry chart of accounts, a cash drawer for the branch, and an owner account with every permission. No accountant is needed to set any of it up.

What the system does not do

• It does not send a confirmation email or a password-reset email today; if you lose your password, contact us on WhatsApp from the contact page.
• It does not change the home currency after sign-up.
