Deleting a product, or hiding it from the till when it has history
A product with sales or stock can't be deleted. Press "Hide it from the till" to stop selling it while its history stays, and bring it back from Deactivated.

A product you never used can be deleted. A product with sales, purchases or stock is hidden from the till instead: it no longer shows when selling and its history stays.
Steps
- Open "Inventory" and find the product.
- Press its bin icon and confirm.
- If it has history, a red notice says it can't be deleted. Press "Hide it from the till".
- To clear many at once, tick them in the list (or "Select all" for the page) and press "Remove" in the bar at the bottom. Products with no history are deleted; those with sales are hidden, and the bar tells you how many of each. "Bring hidden back" undoes the hidden ones. It needs an internet connection.
- To only hide several without deleting, tick them and press "Deactivate".
- To bring one back, open the "Deactivated" filter and press "Activate" (or tick several and press "Activate" in the bar).
If it doesn't work
- "Deleting a product is for the owner or a manager.": ask one of them.
- "It was not deactivated. Try again.": check the internet and press the button again.
- No "Deactivated" filter: no product is hidden at the moment.
What happens in the books
Nothing changes in the books when you hide a product. Its past sales and stock stay as they were.
Common questions
- Why can't I delete a product?
- Sales, purchases or stock refer to it, and the books must keep them. Hide it from the till instead.
- Who can delete or hide products?
- The owner or a manager only, not a cashier.
