Inventory

Changing the prices of many items at once, with undo

Tick products in Inventory, type a percentage or a fixed price and apply it. You have 10 seconds to press Undo, and each change is kept in the product's price history.

When your costs move, change many sale prices in one go: by a percentage, or to one fixed price.

Steps

  1. Open "Inventory" on a computer or a wide tablet and tick the products. A bar at the bottom shows how many are selected.
  2. For a percentage, type it in the field "Adjust price by %" (for example 5, or -5 to lower) and press "Apply".
  3. For one price, press "More", type the price in "Set price" and press "Set price".
  4. A notice says how many products have a new price. Press "Undo" within about 10 seconds if it is wrong. The old prices come back.
  5. Check one product: its page keeps the price history with the change.

If it doesn't work

  • "Apply" is dim: the field is empty or zero.
  • "Failed": check the internet and try again.
  • Prices are rounded to the decimals of your currency, and a product whose price does not change is skipped.

What the system does not do

It does not change the cost, and it does not reprice a product from the exchange rate by itself.

Common questions

Can I go back after applying a new price?
Yes, press "Undo" in the notice that appears for about 10 seconds. A product re-priced since then keeps its newer price.
Does it change the cost price?
No, only the sale price.
