A wholesale delivery note: cartons, pieces and a column for what was received.

In wholesale you deliver cartons, not pieces, and the receiver counts cartons on the kerb before opening them. This template shows cartons and pieces per carton, and leaves a received column for what was actually counted, so both sides see a shortfall on the spot and not a week later. It has sample rows and no prices.

Common questions

Do I put prices on a delivery note?

Usually not. It records what was handed over, not what is owed. Prices belong on the invoice, so the receiver can keep the note without your prices being seen by a driver or a worker.

What if the count differs on arrival?

The receiver writes the count in the received column and signs, and the driver signs too. A difference written on the spot is resolved quickly; one found later is hard to prove.

How do I link it to the invoice?

Write the invoice number at the top of the note and the note number on the invoice. In Dashing the delivery note is made from the invoice itself, so quantities match.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
