A repair invoice: what the fault was, what you did, and on which device.

A repair invoice records a service and a part together, and a customer sometimes returns saying the fault is back. So this template adds the device IMEI, the fault as the customer described it, and the work you actually did. When a disagreement comes up, the paper holds what you both agreed. It has sample rows for common repairs, with the prices blank for you to enter your own charges.

Common questions

Why write the fault as the customer described it?

Because it fixes what you were asked to repair, so if the phone returns with a different fault you can tell a new problem from the old one coming back. Write his words briefly, as said, without interpreting them.

How do I price the part and the labour?

Put each on its own line: the part at its price and the labour as a second line for the same device. The customer sees what he paid for the part and what for the work, and you see the profit on each.

Does the template record a repair warranty?

No, there is no warranty field. Write the repair warranty period you give at the foot of the sheet before printing.
