For phone repair

For repair counters: the customer's phone is a work order, the parts come from your stock, and the invoice comes at pickup.

Dashing is for a repair counter that takes in customers' phones and does not necessarily sell them: each phone is a work order with its description, intake notes, technician and promised date, screens and batteries are taken from stock, and one invoice carries parts and labour. A shop that also sells phones by serial number on installments has its own page, /for/mobile on this site.

A work order per phone

It opens with the customer, a description of the phone and the fault notes, and is assigned to a technician; type the IMEI in the description if you want it. The states: intake, diagnosing, awaiting parts, in progress, ready for pickup, closed with an invoice.

Add a product

Parts from stock, labour apart

The screen and the battery are added from stock at their price, and the technician's charge is a separate line. Closing issues the invoice with both, and stock is deducted when it is confirmed.

Sell with an invoice

Running short of parts

A minimum per part warns you before it runs out, a draft purchase order to the supplier follows from it, and a delivery can be received in parts.

Reorder suggestions

What it does not do

It does not keep a repair warranty or its length: you write it in the order's notes or on the invoice. No appointment booking and no automatic message when the phone is ready, and in the current version photos attach to expenses only, not to work orders.

Common questions

Can I only repair, without selling phones?

Yes. Work orders work on their own, and your stock can be only the parts you use.

Is the screen deducted from stock?

Yes, if you add it to the order from stock. It is deducted when the resulting invoice is confirmed.

Where do I read about selling phones on installments?

On the mobile shops page: an IMEI per device and an installment plan on the invoice.
