An auto parts order: the part number and car model on every line.

Order a part by name alone and what arrives often does not fit the car: one filter comes in dozens of sizes. The supplier needs the part number to prepare the exact one, and the car model to confirm it fits. So this template adds both columns to every line. It has sample rows for consumable parts with no brands, the numbers are examples of the format, and the costs are blank.

Common questions

What if I do not know the part number?

Take the old part or a photo of its label, or ask the supplier for the number from the car model and year. Write it on the order before sending: an order without the number is behind most wrong parts.

Why the car model if I have the part number?

Because the number can belong to a part that changed with the model year. With the car model the supplier can warn you before shipping if the number does not match the car.

Can I mix original and aftermarket parts in one order?

You can, but state which you want in the item, since price and quality differ a great deal. If you buy from more than one supplier, make a separate order for each.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
