Sell with an invoice: add products, pick the customer, save and print
Invoice mode on the Sell screen: a product field that takes a name or a barcode, lines, discount and customer, save, print or send, and switching to Fast.

Invoice mode is for a structured sale: a named customer, lines with their units and prices, a note printed at the bottom. Open a shift first if none is open (open a shift).
Steps
- Open the "Sell" screen and press "Invoice" in the mode switch at the top. A new invoice has no number until it is saved: "New · numbered when saved".
- Pick the customer from "Pick a customer or continue as guest", or press "Guest". If the customer has a standing discount, the invoice discount fills in by itself, and you can change it.
- Add products in the "Type a product name or scan a barcode" field: scan the barcode and the item goes in at once, or type the first letters of the name and press Enter for the first suggestion. The same product again becomes ×2. The cursor stays in the field for the next item, and F3 brings it back there. To pick without typing, press "Browse products".
- Edit a line in place: quantity, unit, price, and the discount as a percentage or an amount. The ✕ at the end of the line removes it.
- Choose how the customer pays: "Cash", "Card", "Credit" or "Split". A note for the customer or an internal note goes in "Invoice notes (optional)".
- Press "Save & print". An invoice with no lines is not saved, and the field says "Add at least one product first". To send it on WhatsApp or as a PDF, press "Send".
What happens in the books
An invoice sale is booked like any sale from the till: the drawer or the card account debited, sales credited, and the cost taken out of stock in the base unit. A "Credit" sale is added to the customer's balance and shows in receivables. An invoice is never deleted after saving; a return is a reversing entry (returns).
What the system does not do
- It does not spend loyalty points on an invoice; spend them in Fast mode.
- Switching to Fast does not carry the notes or an invoice discount other than the customer's standing one: the whole invoice is kept in Held sales, and you finish it from there.
Common questions
- I typed a product name and nothing came up. What now?
- "No product matches" appears under the field, with "Browse products" beside it. The shop owner also sees a button to add it as a new product: type the price and press "Save and add to the invoice", and it is saved to your products and goes on the invoice. A cashier sees "Ask the shop owner to add it to the products." The search forgives Arabic spelling variants and Kurdish letters, and a one-letter typo is offered under "Did you mean:".
- I started the sale in Fast mode. Can I finish it as an invoice?
- Press "Invoice" at the top of the screen: the lines, quantities, discounts and customer come with you, at the same total. A sale that spends loyalty points is kept in Held sales instead, and the screen tells you.
