Category
A category is a group of similar items, such as drinks or shoes, that makes searching and reporting easier.
What it means for a shop owner
It shows you which group earns the most, and the cashier uses it to reach an item without typing. Keep the number of categories small and clear. One category per item is enough.
A worked example
Drinks sell 400, snacks 250 and cleaning 150. The report shows drinks make 50 percent of 800.
