Cross-sell
Cross-selling is offering a customer an item that goes with what he is buying, such as a cover with a phone or a battery with a device.
What it means for a shop owner
It differs from upselling to a pricier item. Offer one useful thing, not five, at a small price compared to the main item. Train sellers on one short sentence.
A worked example
A phone at 300, plus a cover at 10 and a screen guard at 5. If the customer takes both, the bill is 315.
