Daily sales report
A daily sales report is a summary of what sold in the day: the total, payment methods, returns and discounts.
What it means for a shop owner
Review it each evening and compare it with the cash in the drawer. Any gap needs an explanation the same day. After a few weeks you see your peak days and slow days.
A worked example
The total is 2400: cash 1700 and cards 700, with discounts of 60 and returns of 40.
