End-of-day report
The end-of-day report is a summary of the day sales, payments and costs that you review before you close the shop.
What it means for a shop owner
It answers two questions: how much did I sell, and how much should be in the drawer. Compare the expected figure with your actual count. Read it every day, because a small gap today is easier to trace than a big one at month end.
A worked example
Today sales are 900: cash 600 and card 300. The drawer started with 100, so 700 is expected, and if you count 690 the gap is 10.
