In-transit stock
It is stock that has left the supplier or another branch but has not yet reached the shop, so it is not in stock on hand.
What it means for a shop owner
Record it so you know what is coming and can plan the next order well. Receive it in the system as soon as it arrives and is counted. If it is very late, ask the carrier.
A worked example
A branch sends 40 pieces in the morning and they arrive in the evening, so they are in transit for 8 hours.
