QR code
A QR code is a square of dots that stores text or a link, and a phone camera reads it in a moment with no special device.
What it means for a shop owner
It holds more than a line barcode, so you can put a menu link, a payment page or a chat link in it. Print it large enough with clear contrast and test it with a phone before you publish. Never put secrets in it.
A worked example
You print a QR code 3 centimetres wide on a cafe table. Guests scan it and the menu opens in 2 seconds.
