Receipt printer

A receipt printer is a small device at the till that prints the sale slip on a paper roll, and most are thermal so they need no ink.

What it means for a shop owner

Pick one that fits the paper width you use (58 or 80 mm) and connects to the device you own. Test printing in Arabic before you buy, since some printers get the writing direction wrong.

A worked example

An 80 mm roll 50 metres long with an average slip of 15 cm gives about 330 receipts a roll.
