Recommended retail price
The recommended retail price is the price a maker or supplier suggests for selling a product to the consumer, sometimes printed on the pack.
What it means for a shop owner
In many markets it is advice, not a rule, but in some it may be binding by law or contract. Know the rules where you trade. Compare it with the market price and your margin before you adopt it.
A worked example
The supplier suggests 25 and your cost is 18, so your margin at that price is 7.
