SKU naming
SKU naming is a fixed rule for building each code from readable parts, such as type, then colour, then size.
What it means for a shop owner
A good rule is short, readable at a glance and uses only letters and digits. Do not put price or date in the code because they change. Write the rule down so everyone who adds an item knows it.
A worked example
The rule type-colour-size, 3 parts, gives TS-RD-L for a red tee in L and TS-RD-M for the M.
