Split payment

A split payment is settling one bill with more than one method, such as part in cash and part by card.

What it means for a shop owner

The parts must add up exactly to the bill. Each part goes to its own place, cash in the drawer and card to the bank account. That keeps the shift close correct.

A worked example

A bill of 90: the customer pays 40 in cash and 50 by card. The drawer gets 40 and the card account gets 50.
